Malte vom Weiltal: when work and beauty meet in a single Rottweiler

Some dogs win in the show ring.

Some dogs win on the working field.

And then there is Malte.

The only Rottweiler in the world to have become World Working Champion… and World Beauty Champion, handled by his owner, the respected Oliver Neubrand.

Malte vom Weiltal, born on 29 May 2022, is a dog who embodies the idea of the “complete Rottweiler” in an extraordinary way: beauty, structure, movement, character and real working ability.

  • ADRK 138084 · 66.5 cm / 50 kg
  • HD +/- ED free (0)
  • Full dentition (42), scissor bite, normal testicles
  • ZTP passed (19.05.2024 – Prof. Dr. Peter Friedrich)
  • Körung passed – Gekört until 16.11.2027.
  • Breeder: Heinz Baumann (Rottweiler vom Weiltal, Germany)
  • Owner and handler: Oliver Neubrand (Vom Hause Neubrand Rottweilers)

And this is where it gets really interesting…

Two great lines, one single dog

The successful Rottweiler vom Weiltal kennel planned a combination that could bring success in both work and conformation shows, and they were certainly right.

On the sire's side we find Donner vom Illergries, no less than IFR IGP World Champion 2021 with 285 points (96-92-97) (shared title) and a dog of outstanding working performance.

  • Born 30.12.2016 · ADRK 129709 · 65 cm / 48 kg
  • HD-A free / ED free
  • ZTP, Multi IGP 3, IFH1- IFH2, very strong in work

On the dam's side is Dea vom Weiltal, a direct daughter of the legendary Vitus vom Hause Neubrand, one of the most influential studs in modern German breeding.

  • Born 25.03.2019 · ADRK 133101 · 61 cm / 41 kg
  • HD-A free / ED free
  • ZTP, V1 at shows, IGP 1
Donner
Work and performance.
Vitus
Type, structure and breeding ability.

Malte thus brings together two paths that are often developed separately: elite beauty and elite work.

And the results speak

In 2025 Malte became ADRK German IGP Champion with 286 points (100-90-96).

At the IFR IGP World Championship 2025, held in Hungary in October that year, came another extraordinary result: he scored 97 points in obedience, was awarded Best Obedience and was also the youngest dog to finish successfully. He placed 5th individually, while Germany won the world team title.

Seven months later, in May 2026, in Hungary, he made history again.

He passed the character test with a confidence that gave many of those present goosebumps.

He won the Working Class under Ramona Radtke.

And then, under judge Gerard O’Shea, he became IFR World Winner 2026… and Best of Breed.

Finally, this August 2026 in Finland, he achieved something hard to imagine for Rottweiler lovers and breeders: he won the IFR IGP World Championship with 280 points (88-96-96), once again leading phase B, obedience, while Germany retained the world team title.

This says a great deal about his versatility. We are not talking only about a beautiful dog in the show ring: he also works, competes and responds under pressure.

What is truly fascinating about Malte vom Weiltal is not only the number of titles.

It is what those titles represent.

A Rottweiler able to enter the beauty ring and then step onto the working field and prove that functionality need not be at odds with breed type.

Beauty without work is incomplete. So is work without type. The great challenge of breeding is to achieve both in the same dog.
